Results for PFAS (K+PFOS)

Decreases in total activity at 2 months of age.

Subjects: NMRI mice

Chemical: PFAS (K+PFOS)

Low doses tested: 0.75 mg/kg bw

Other doses tested: 11.3 mg/kg

Route of administration: dissolved in a mixture of egg lecithin and peanut oil and delivered via metal gastric tube

Exposure duration: post-natal day 10 – post-natal day 10 (comparable to human prenatal development from approximately day 1 of week 27 to day 1 of week 28)

Age of measurement: 2 and 4 months of age

Results for PFAS (PFOA)

Decreases in total activity and locomotion at 4 months; changes in activity compared to controls in response to nicotine. Increases in rearing in those dosed at 0.58 mg/kg PFOA at 2 and 4 months of age.

Subjects: NMRI mice

Chemical: PFAS (PFOA)

Low doses tested: 0.58 mg/kg bw

Other doses tested: 8.7 mg/kg bw

Route of administration: dissolved in a mixture of egg lecithin and peanut oil and delivered via metal gastric tube

Exposure duration: post-natal day 10 – post-natal day 10 (comparable to human prenatal development from approximately day 1 of week 27 to day 1 of week 28)

Age of measurement: 2 and 4 months of age
