The CDC's Biomonitoring Project specializes in biomonitoring, which is the direct measurement of people's exposure to toxic substances in the environment by measuring the substances or their metabolites in human specimens, such as blood or urine.
THe Breast Cancer Fund links to resources on cancer prevention as well as efforts to measure the body burdens of chemicals in the state of California.

Biomonitoring Resource Center is a program of Commonweal. The Center’s website offers information on biomonitoring, as well as a study of chemicals found in a cross-section of California residents.

Healthy Child Healthy World facilitates awareness of preventable health and development problems caused by exposures to toxic substances in homes, schools and communities and promotes the protection of children from these toxics.
Toxic contaminants and their health effects is one topic, among others, on which the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) focuses. They offer information about children’s health, the health effects of pollution, common chemicals in our lives, pesticides and scientific integrity.
Scorecard not only provides information about national pollution, but features county-level reports based on zip code. The site gives detailed information on air and water pollutants, including what and how much of a chemical is released in each area, lists top polluters and superfund sites, and addresses environmental justice issues. In addition, a database of chemical profiles, health effects , and regulations are available.

A product of the Environmental Health Association of Nova Scotia. The Guide provides general consumer advice on the issue and also covers a variety of specific products, from personal care products to pest control. The site also offers home-made alternatives to household cleaners.
Contains information on over 200 nanotechnology-based products, ranging from electronics to cosmetics. The Consumer Products Inventory is a product of the Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies, a partnership between the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the Pew Charitable Trusts.
The National Library of Medicine created this database to collect information available on the chemical ingredients of over 6,000 consumer brands. By using sources such as a product’s Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), information such as known ingredients and health effects are cataloged for scientists and consumers.

Formerly the National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides, Beyond Pesticides works to reduce and eliminate the use of toxic pesticides. Beyond Pesticides also specializes in providing the public with useful information on pesticides and alternative methods of pest management.
NCAP promotes healthy solutions to pest problems by providing information on alternatives, advocating reduced use, and more.
PAN is an international coalition that works to replace toxic pesticides with ecologically sound alternatives.
PANNA is one of five PAN Regional Centers worldwide, focusing on pesticide issues in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

Energy Star is a government/industry partnership that has grown out of a voluntary labeling program started by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The program saves money and reduces pollution by facilitating the conservation of energy. The web site provides guidance for both individuals and businesses.
Environmental Choice is a North American environmental certification program, EcoLogo, founded by the Canadian government. The web site provides information about the program, participating companies and products.
This program provides resources for janitorial staff to reduce chemical exposure and reduce the use of harmful products. The program is run by the Western Regional Pollution Prevention Network.
Office of the Federal Environmental Executive promotes implementation of green purchasing and other sustainable practices within the federal government.

Building for Health is a national and international vendor for healthy and environmentally friendly construction material alternatives.
Compiles information on sustainable materials, products, systems, and services for the commercial and residential building construction industry.
